Week of 02/15/2015

Hello club,

Happy Valentine’s Day! But (more) importantly, happy feast day of Saints Cyril and Methodius! Saints Cyril and Methodius were Byzantine Greek brothers who were the principal Christian missionaries among the Slavic peoples in Moravia (present day Czech Republic) and Pannonia. Pope Saint John Paul II named them co-patrons of Europe, along with St. Benedict. Saints Cyril and Methodius, watch over all missionaries but especially those in Slavic countries. Help those that are in danger in the troubled areas. Watch over the people you dedicated your lives to. Pray for us and for peace in Eastern Europe. Amen.

Please see below for club announcements.  We look forward to seeing you at our two Masses this week – our usual Sunday Mass and our Ash Wednesday Mass.  In the meantime, have a safe and happy long weekend!

Best,

Your CSA Exec Team

Week of 02/01/2015

Hello club,

Hope you had a great first week of classes!  In today’s Gospel reading (Mk 4:21-25), Jesus said to his disciples, “Is a lamp brought in to be placed under a bushel basket or under a bed, and not to be placed on a lampstand?”  His question reminds us that our (metaphorical) lamp is to be placed on a lampstand so that we will “rouse one another to love and good works.” To those who approach their faith “with a sincere heart and in absolute trust” even “more will be given.”  Lord God, let us hold unwaveringly to our confession that gives us hope and consider how to raise one another to love.

Please see below for club announcements.  We look forward to seeing you at our “Super Bowl” edition- Mass this Sunday at 4pm in the HBS Chapel!

Best,

Your CSA Exec Team
